Meet Evan

Since 2006 Evan Read has made it his life’s mission to support students on their journey through high school, into college, and onto life after college. Evan’s professional career began in undergraduate admission at Stonehill College and Northeastern University. In addition he also served students as a student affairs intern at Columbia University, a college access and success adviser at The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, and Co-Director of College Counseling at the Melvin J. Berman Hebrew Academy

Through both his professional and academic experiences Evan has gained deep knowledge and insight into college admission, student development, secondary and post-secondary institutions, and program development.

Over the course of his career he has worked closely with students and their families in an effort to demystify the admission journey, provide academic advice, and offer emotional support so those students may achieve their dreams. The students he has served have been accepted to and successful at a variety of institutions, from Ivy League schools to Colleges That Change Lives and everything in between.

Evan earned his B.A. in History from Union College in 2006, as well as an M.A. in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2009.

When not busy supporting students on their educational journey he loves to spend time with his family and serve his community. He can often be found in the  playing with his kids, firing up the grill, working out, or volunteering in the community.
