Applying To College Is Neither Simple Nor Easy

Are you feeling lost, confused, and alone helping your child work on the college admission process?

Is everyone afraid to even utter the words “college applications” for fear it will trigger a tiresome argument?

Applying to college can be (and should be) different! What if:

πŸ€” Passive aggressive comments were replaced by productive and constructive conversation

πŸ€” You had a step-by-step plan that provided everyone with a clear structure of what to do

πŸ€” You had a partner who listened to your fears, anxieties, joys, and concerns

πŸ€” You had a reliable resource guiding you every step of the way

Sound to good to be true? It’s not!

Meet Evan

I have spent nearly 2 decades in college admission. Over the course of my career I have helped countless students navigate their way to and through college. I pride myself on a student centered approach, that balances social-emotional wellness with proven college application strategies.

While I don’t like to say “I’ve seen it all”, I’d like to think “I’ve seen A LOT!” I have witnessed college admission trends ebb and flow, but there are some things which have never changed. Applying to college is about the student, not the college. It’s about finding schools that meet a student’s needs and goals…schools that are a good fit. The experience is also about self-discovery, and gaining confidence in expressing one’s personal narrative.

Evan stands out in his ability to connect with high school students. His approachable demeanor and genuine interest in their success create a trusting and supportive environment, making even the most overwhelmed teens feel at ease. What sets Evan apart is his unwavering dedication and expertise, whether it’s organizing the college application process, providing essay guidance, developing effective study techniques, or navigating scholarship opportunities. His depth of knowledge and extensive experience empower students to discover schools that align with their strengths and aspirations. Evan is also skilled at reducing the stress and tension often associated with the college admissions journey. He helps debunk common myths about the process and bridges the gap between parents and students, fostering healthier communication and mutual understanding.

Applying to College Is Personal

Applying to college should be a highly personalized and individualized experience. Every student’s needs, goals, and aspirations are different and that should be reflected in the decisions they make about their post-secondary school path.

With that in mind, I have simplified the experience into 8 sequential steps. While each student follows the same road map, where it leads is very different…as it should be! Not only will students be able to follow a step-by-step process, they will do so with me by their side every step of the way! I will be there when:

🀝 when it gets stressful

🀝 things go well

🀝 when tensions are high

🀝 when it’s time to celebrate!
